The Aquis Group has more than 25 years of experience in the development and manufacture of innovative, technically sophisticated and proven electronic solutions in water and sanitary technology. As an OEM manufacturer (Original Equipment Manufacturer), the Aquis Group develops and produces unique and innovative solutions together with partners, customised to the needs of its customers. As an ODM manufacturer (Original Design Manufacturer), its expertise ranges from product design and technology to series production.

The Aquis Group's success is based on technical expertise and customer-centred service, but above all on the deep trust of its customers, who entrust it with the development and manufacture of their own branded products.

History and development

Over the years, Aquis has developed into a well-founded system house for mechatronic solutions that successfully applies its competencies from development to series delivery. Today Aquis realizes innovative system solutions in various business areas.

Networking and communication capability of the products represents an integral part of the wide range of services. Today, the Aquis group operates at five locations: Switzerland, Austria, Romania, Germany and Italy and employs more than 300 people.

Founded as a subsidiary (spin off) of a leading European manufacturer of components such as valves, dosing units, heaters, softening systems for the household appliance industry

1996
Market launch of the innovative, newly developed electronic faucet range under the "iqua" brand (intelligent water)

2000
Restructuring of the ownership structure and spin-off of the sanitary activities into the newly founded Aquis Sanitär AG

2001
Expansion of OEM business with well-known international customers.
Presentation of the first solar-assisted electronic valve - doubling of battery life.

2005
Change in ownership structure

Strong expansion of electronics competencies and establishment of the development site in Salzburg.
Introduction of the modern iq-7 platform with operating system and modular structure.

Extension of the manufacturing competences by integration of an EMS production into the company group
